Now your Teams meeting is all setup and ready to go with students in it. Here are some useful tips while you are hosting the meeting.
Muting a participant - Click on show participants in the top menu.
This will take you back to the lobby screen. You can then hover over the user you would like to mute, then three dots will appear.
Click the three dots, this will bring up a drop-down menu where you can mute the user.
Other options on this menu:
Pin Video - The pin will only show you that participant's video.
Spotlight - shows everyone in the meeting that students’ video.
Make an Attendee Option - allows the participant to remove people from the meeting.
Remove from meeting - removes the user from the meeting.
In this top menu, you have options to see the chat. This will bring up the typing chat that you and or the students can use.
Raise Hand - This is mainly for students use, they can raise their hands and it will create a notification and tell you about it
This icon indicates that the hand is raised, you can answer the students question from there
