If you are having trouble hearing or being heard in Cisco Jabber, please first restart your computer and if that doesn't resolve the problem try the following steps:
Check your audio output and microphone settings.
In Jabber, open the options menu from the gear in the top right corner
Select the "Audio" Tab on the left and click the drop down next to speakers
If you are trying to use the speakers built in to the laptop, select "Speaker/HP (Realtek: High Definition Audio) . If you have a headset plugged in as there is in the example and you want sound through that, choose that device, in this case USB Audio Device. If you are using a secondary monitor, there is a chance that the monitor will show up on the list, do not select that device as monitors from the IU don't typically have speakers.
Once you have verified the correct speakers are being used, do the same for the microphone.
If you are using just the built in microphone on the laptop, select Microphone Array. If you have an external device such as a headset, choose that, in this case it is again the USB Audio Device.
