Collaborating in Microsoft Teams (@mentioning)

There are a few different ways to collaborate in Microsoft Teams.

@mention someone

An @mention is a good way to get the attention of someone in a channel conversation or a chat.

  1. In the box where you type your message, type @, then type the first few letters of the person's name you're trying to @mention. You can also @mention entire teams and channels.
  2. Click on the person you want to @mention, and repeat for as many people as you'd like to @mention.

Each person that you @mention will get a notification on their devices. It will show up in the Activity feed. If there is a red circle next to the Activity button Activity button, click the button to check if someone has @mentioned you.
